The baking weather has been our worst enemy in the past few weeks, but it was somehow a bit tolerable this past weekend. With summer winding down and the weather hopefully getting more on the cool side, the time to crash cookouts is now.

Everyone says I show no remorse when posting up unexpected pictures of them on this here blog. Luckily for Gianni, he deleted one of my prime shots.

Nate entertains me for the day.

If you are familiar with Fairmount Park, then you might be unfamiliar with this here park Rock Garden. Took us a little while to navigate here, but a few guesses did the trick.

Video: Vitamin Water Bike Tow
July 23rd, 2010 · No Comments · Posted by JonnyRabbit
This video was from last month’s bike tow I participated in with our friends at Vitamin Water and the great folks behind Philadelphia’s driving art culture. It’s amazing how many people we meet in Philadelphia that are doing so much for the city, but rarely are we all in the same place at the same time. The bike tow gave us all that opportunity and it was nothing but love and respect everywhere.
Shot by the talented Dan King. Check him out.
Austin! White – Tom & Susan presented by AnmlHse
July 19th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Posted by JonnyRabbit
Last year we’ve teamed up with Austin! White to present Intermission EP. This year we teamed up again with Chicago based producer/artist to bring you Tom & Susan. The compilation features a lot of original production, upbeat party jams, and hints of comedy here and there. We find ourselves meshing well with Austin because although he is serious about his craft, he always finds a way to make fun music for people to listen to. Download the full album here or preview it below. Enjoy the rest of your #MusicMonday folks.

Photos: Heineken Inspire with J. Cole

Last night we attended the Philly stop of the Heineken Inspire Tour with live entertainment put on by DJ Jazzy Jeff, Marsha Abrosius, Musiq Soulchild, J Cole, and another surprise appearance by Freeway that’s always guaranteed to shut Philly down. The first few hours was a non-stop spinathon by the Philly legend with Marsha Abrosius in between as well as STS dropping a few lines for the crowd. Up next was J. Cole, who kept the crowd live with songs from “Who Dat” to “Lights Please” to “A star is Born”. We’re all huge J. Cole fans around here, but what I found surprising was the amount of females that were able to recite his lyrics word for word. I won’t even make the comparison to which artist that is reminiscent of, but J. Cole addresses that in a later video we recorded that will probably be on Babylon Cartel.

Heineken Inspire Dinner

Friday night, I was invited to a private dinner for Heineken Inspire put together by Team Epiphany to celebrate influential individuals in Philadelphia. The list of people ranged from artists to editors to even graphic designers. During the dinner, we all focused on networking to introduce our brands to each other. It’s always a pleasure to be in a room full of insightful and like-minded individuals. Furthermore, it was an even greater pleasure meeting the faces behind brands that are striving to shape this city’s culture.

Last night Uristocrat held their Summer School concert at TLA with Kidz in the Hall headlining. Other acts included Stalley, Dephonic, Asaad, Sock the Rapper, Writtenhouse, and Akilles. I met up with a bunch of great people and a good time was had.

Mario rocks AnmlHse in Japan

The homie Andy Cool hit me up earlier today and told me he spotted Mario laced up in some AnmlHse gear way down in Japan…in print format. Because of the regional association I assumed Super Mario Bros at first, but the platinum singer is just as comforting. Much props to Mario for stylin’ on em in our Big Deal Hoody.

Flash back to our first month of AnmlHse when we weren’t making apparel. Our sole mission was to create lovely ad campaigns for our supporters. Reem and I pulled a bunch of late night shifts together (#AllHomo) and only one video on BET’s late night rotation had us on a constant sing-along frenzy. Don’t judge us.
So, thank you Mario for getting us through those rough nights.

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve done any documenting, but we’ve been out enjoying the weather while it lasts. Not that summer should excuse us of our responsibilities on this here site, but it has. We will be getting back into more serious matters in no time, but for the time being here are 3 weeks of fun.
Here is our buddy Jessica, who just found out what a hoagie is. No hidden definition or urban slang behind that one, just a regular sammich.

Fourth of July pre-gaming…one week before.

This is just casual drinking.

Last night we made our way down to the NoHo area in downtown NYC for our first of many Jungle Juice events. Some of us were just passing a 14 hour day and were prepared for the 6 hours ahead. With the place being packed early with a diverse range of folks from all over, the Four Loko mania began. The night was definitely entertaining and interesting, inside and outside the event. Thanks to NY for coming through with the support, our Philly heads that made the troop, our friends and family, and all the random folks from all over we met in between. Major prop goes to Panda for doing a great job on setting up all of our recent events. We are working to get AnmlHse’s Jungle Juice out to more cities, so if you are interested and can make some magic happen, hit up panda@anmlhse.com.
