Amidst all the Mixtape / Lookbook / New AnmlHse Collection talk this week, we’ve been steady at work bring’n some new & old designs to the table in sticker format for all our fellow supporters. We’ve been in the game for about 3 years now and have yet to order any good quality stickers for all of your sketchbooks, local street signs, mac books, etc. which baffles me if I do say so myself. The Streetwear bible says you must drop a line; t-shirts, hats, crewnecks and stickers. Who are we to break the code of the illimunati? So in the next few weeks, expect your whole life to be vandalized with this random assortment of sticker designs. These are only a few, new never before seen designs and also old but classic designs alike that we will probably be releasing in an assorted pack. Peep game, these are 4 of a possible 8 designs we will be printing. Comment and let us know which ones you really like! Feel free to post these designs on your Tumblr or use as Twitter backgrounds as well!

Our homie Dave Weeks has an Opening Reception to a personal exhibition of his, titled “I’m Such A Character” this weekend in Philadelphia so it’s only right we point all you fellow anmls in the right direction. More information on the exhibit and the actual location is below and on the flyer below. Support your local scene!

“Born in 1985, David Miller Weeks received education from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, P.A, where he currently lives and works. His diverse influences include 1950′s & 1960′s animation and graffiti. His work, created in both mixed media paintings and 3-d sculpture, focuses on characters that embody the flaws of personal experience and society at large. The work, while focusing on serious and personal themes, retains an element of sarcasm and humor, while reflecting images and feelings from childhood. His new work will be featured in a solo show opening July 10 2010 at Amberella Gallery.”

Throughout the 4+ years that we’ve been here in Philadelphia, the number of AnmlHse members and associates have no doubt doubled and tripled each year. With that said, the number of artistic talents have doubled and tripled as well. Although everyone mainly sees the partying aspect of The AnmlHse Brand, the Arts are definitely still a main focus and a driving force in everything we do. At the end of the day we’re all students of Art & Design, maturing as we go along into our career that we chose in this visual field. Here I present to you an AnmlHse Product Packaging Project (say that 3 times fast, I dare you). This project was conceptualized and created by the fellow Anml / Graphic Designer, Eric King. Followers of the blog may have come to know him as the photographer, GeekAllStar as well. There was also major help from Andres Garcia, bringing the whole project to life with extra 3D work on the project. An idea such as this shows how important packaging is as an integral part in any company, showing creativity, maturity and customer appreciation with each sale.

The first part of the project is a box with a clear slip cover. Something like this comes in handy, specifically for online orders. The box is adorned with symbols that represent the Anmls individually and symbols that are synonymous with the brand such as Raccoon Tail, an Acorn, Silhouette of a Bear, Plastic Beer Pong Cup, 40oz Bottle, etc. The colorway is inspired by the constant AnmlHse usage of black with pop colors, as seen in the original Big Deal Project. Pay attention to the small detailing on the side of the box, fresh.

The second part consists of different product bags, mainly used for in-store purchases. The bags are white, with the same symbols on that are on the box, but in a frosted gloss. The name AnmlHse is clear as well so our notoriously colorful t-shirts will give the bag a consistent pop of color to attract the eye. Also, peep the solid color Bamboo Logo on the right hand side of the bag as well. The bag comes in assorted colors: purple, island blue and lime green.

Inspired by April Fools and previous wallpapers I’ve made before, I decided to put my newly renovated mac to good use. Even if you have a PC this is a cool little screensaver you can put up to fool your friends, family and coworkers. All designs were made by AnmlHse, some unreleased but for the most part it’s stuff you’ve seen before.

It’s been a while since the site has been updated and with Spring in full effect, I figured we would go with a theme that represents us party anmls over here. Sticking with the function over form rule, you’ll find that the site is a lot easier to navigate around as well as browser friendly for all you unlucky folks still stuck on Internet Explorer. Also added some retailers, events, past collections, and also a new shop which is a lot simpler and quicker to checkout. And if all that wasn’t enough, here’s a new wallpaper for your desktops and twitters. It is compiled with some used as well as unreleased illustrations from the past couple of years. Below are a few different sizes as well as a seamless pattern for your twitter. Enjoy folks!

I woke up this morning to a tweet from my homie about a Black Superhero Exhibit in NYC and I had to look into this. After a few minutes of fast-paced google searching, I found a link to the Art Collective; Somos Arte and their official website for the Exhibit HERE.

I’m such a huge fan of comic books, especially when dealing with the Marvel brand. They have so many interesting Black characters, and it’s funny how true they try to stay to the culture considering most of the writers are not Black. Either way, I can say this looks to be like a really dope Art Exhibit to swing by, especially being Black History Month and all.

There’s original artwork in this exhibit by some of the greats; John Romita Jr, John Cassaday and even Editor-In-Chief of Marvel Comics, Joe Quesada himself.

Maybe this is a way to kick knowledge to a younger sibling or child about the importance of Black culture and to rekindle your inner child as well (that’s if you’re not a comic book geek). Get there before February 26th cuz after that they’re taking this show on the road! More info at SomosArte.com!

When we first started this last year, the purpose of this project was to introduce folks to the people in our young generation bringing life to Philly and representing the city in every way they possibly can. Whether through art, music, or just plain entertainment, these fine folks weren’t ashamed of where they were from and showed it. This year we expanded to the DMV, with the help of JuJu and 1st Impressions Studio, to introduce some of the folks that support us and are also making an impact in their area. We are now pleased to introduce our second installment of the Big Deal Project. Enjoy, while listening to the fine tunes hand selected by Brian the Dogg.

It’s been about 5 months since we’ve done these and now we’re back at it. Ever since our first venture into these, each project keeps raising the bar. Before we were getting a lot of requests done that we were sacrificing the quality of the work. This time, we are going to keep these to a limited amount and chosen at random to assure that every supporter is satisfied with the results. We apologize to everyone that has waited for months to get one. Disclaimer: We don’t discriminate at all, we just enjoy drawing girls..ok maybe we discriminate a tad bit.

You know what to do.
