This past Thursday me, Keith Squirrell and Jimmy Bear linked up with Brian The Dogg, E.King and Jamar for a lil Happy Hour session. The location is now our new rendezvous spot, it’s on South St. with daily specials like cent $1 drafts, $1.69 mixed drinks and $1 fries. Can’t get any better than that. We will probably be stop’n by again one day soon so be on the lookout on my Twitter if anyone wants to link up and drink with us. Here’s FreshMeltWater’s Lookbook No. 1 for their new Spring/Summer Collection, titled “Turn On, Tune In & Drop Out”. The shoot is strictly done in a DIY approach using a cellphone camera and a photo FX app, staying true to the DIY nature of the brand itself. The images have a vintage tone to it, perfect for the Summer feel here in Philadelphia. The designs look dope as well, using mainly typography, trippy graphics and catchy slogans on both t-shirts and tanktops. This ticket giveaway is just like the last one we did for Lupe Fiasco last month, this time it’s for 50 Cent’s concert at The House Of Blues on June 25th in Atlantic City. Last time The Anmls & GB’s had mad fun! I will especially because 50 Cent used to be a personal favorite of mine in High School. I mean you can love him or hate him, but you gotta respect his hustle and acknowledge the work he put in to get where he is. He singlehandedly put the mixtape/remix game back on the map and not to mention held Queens, NY down. Almost every rapper out now follows the formula that he set in stone, whether they like him or not.

I look at this movie still from the cult classic film Animal House and coincidentally I feel the spirit of the AnmlHse brand. I think it’s interesting how I still have yet to see the film in it’s entirety but I feel like I understand it like the back of my hand. We have always embodied the party lifestyle, that’s what college life can do to you. But the difference with us is I would say our humor, likeable personalities and our creativity is what draws people to us. A lot of people ask us how we got our name and why, but I believe that’s because they’re not familiar with the film itself. The name was given to us randomly and it was the perfect fit for us trying to build a unique brand that embodied who we were. In hindsight I believe this was genius on our part and it all happened by accident. It just goes to show you that the best ideas come out of inside jokes. I see these characters and I see every member of AnmlHse & Friends in some way, shape or form. We’re working on venturing out of just clothing and events pretty soon, it’s not just about style and fun which is the misconception. It’s about the art form of living and loving life, every minute of it but doing it with some sort of creativity to your brand/identity. There can never be another Animal House… or AnmlHse for that matter and that’s what makes us just as much of a cult classic as the film.

I just had a meeting with Brian the Dogg and he’s informed me of the current ranks for Super Smash Brothers. This has been decided. We’ve thrown Khalid in last place below non-AnmlHse members, because we felt like it. Who knows where he even goes, or if he’s even allowed to be on this list at all.

Gotta give a big shoutout to the homies at 21-7 for the nice little write-up and questionnaire. We always appreciate when people on their grind take notice of what we’ve been trying to achieve for the past 2-3 years. Brian the Dogg has been my favorite AnmlHse character to capture over the years and this video here just put the icing on the cake for me. Last night while getting pizza from Lorenzo & Son on South Street, Brian the Dogg got arrested for drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon outside…coincidentally, on the eve of April Fool’s Day. Watch as we hang out in the cold to mock our friend for his wrongdoings. Could this all be staged?

It’s been a while since the site has been updated and with Spring in full effect, I figured we would go with a theme that represents us party anmls over here. Good afternoon fellow ANMLS. I’m letting you all in on a little secret of mine. If you don’t know already, then yeah I’ve been kidnapped by the Tumblr world. Blame it on this snowstorm and major boredom. funny thing is I had a Tumblr like 2 years ago but I abandoned it once I started posting content on here daily. There’s many things I want to share with you, but for the sake of bombarding the AnmlHse blog with my opinionated views I decided to create a side project of my own. I’m going to try and update it daily all the while maintain the brand image we portray on here at the same time. Difference is my personal blog will be no holds barred freedom of expression. Your going to see lots of comedy, videos, secret updates I can’t post here and definitely random rants that I tend to go on. It’s also a way to keep me off Twitter as much as possible lol
