The one thing I admire about The Paxtons is the work ethic behind their music. Having no prior online presence, this duo has been on the move. This duo recently sent me their album entitled Work, and as enjoyable as it is, I am still impressed by their presentation. Not too many put time into their presentations, whereas they are out of luck when it come to delivering their content. Being able to have good content and presentation is a rare sight, even for the mainstream. More info on the release here.
If you happen to be in Philly or don’t mind the trip, The Paxtons will be holding a release event for their recently released album Work at Ubiq Walnut this Tuesday. Free event, free liquor, free music, free fun, and some giveaways. We will also be dropping an AnmlHse collaboration tee for sale that day during the event (more info on that later).

Logo and Typeface is looking sick homie, keep up the good work. If he’s stepping up his website game, i need to get on my style game again… I think we’re both realizing there’s a lack of talent and vision out there and the great artists aren’t getting the right recognition. So it’s only right he brings that potential out with what he does best and I get up off my ass and do the same.

This looks like it’s going to be EPIC. I don’t know if you guys heard but M. Night Shymalan is directing (creator of Sixth Sense, Signs and Unbreakable). Now, I don’t necessarily know how I feel about that. He’s a great director and all, but when it comes to his most recent films he falls short because they’re not entirely fulfilling (The Village, Lady In The Water, The Happening).
Maybe this will be a good change of pace for him and bring him back into the limelight. Another fact is Industrial Light & Magic is handling the visual effects and sound so you know this is going to look awesome in theaters.
One problem. Quan Luv is right, these characters are ancient african/indian/asian tribal tales… so where is the color? Even though this is based on Nickelodeon’s Avatar, we’ll have to see if Shyamalan actually interprets the story the way it should be considering he is of Indian descent.

We have the homie linked on our Family page but make sure u check the blog out. He’s a real cool dude from Philly who happens to be a dope performer also and the host to the infamous Silk City Thursdays (Mo Money No Problems).
We blogged about him a couple weeks back in our New Music: post when the track “Hot Shyt” dropped featuring Peedi Crack, Black Thought, Young Chris and Wale (who happened to place the track on his latest mixtape “Back To The Feature“). You’ll be hearing about him a lot so definitely take a listen.

This is so sick… but then again it is quite scary how dope this will be.
Right now it’s called Project Natal for the xbox 360 to be released sometime around mid to late 2010. Microsoft calls it their “controller free gaming and entertainment experience”. Simply amazing, but it seems like we are getting closer and closer to that Terminator/I Robot future after all lol

I like the different styles of characters good ol’ Brian the Dogg is illustrating. Who knew that there could be so many ways to draw people in animal costumes, people that look like animals and even people that are just wearing animal prints. I like the variations… what about you guys?
